Not quite ready to join the full ensemble? We'd still love to work with you! Harp students ages 8–12 with little or no previous ensemble experience are invited to participate in the Guest Apprentice program and perform in a concert with the Temple Music Prep Youth Harp Ensemble. Guest Apprentices prepare a simple ensemble piece in advance with their teacher, and attend the dress rehearsal and concert performance. Please inquire about apprentice participation. (If you are over age 12, you may participate on a one-time basis.) The next Guest Apprentice opportunity is our December 8, 2012 concert. To participate, you will need to purchase and prepare the music in advance with your teacher, attend our Dec. 1 dress rehearsal from 12:30 to 2:00 (at TUCC; 1515 Market St.) and our run-through (2:00 p.m) and concert (4:00 p.m.) on December 8 at Rock Hall on Temple University's main campus. Choose one or both of the following pieces (photocopies not allowed). You may play any part, and teachers should feel free to make simplifications if necessary. One hand only is also fine. "Carol of the Bells," arr. Janet Witman (easy) "Fum, Fum, Fum," arr. Lynne Abbey-Lee (more difficult) Please email Kimberly Rowe if you wish to join us. |
